Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The union has just received this update regarding your retention incentive from the employer. CUPE Local 786 also wants to thank you so much for all of your hard work and support during this difficult time. Your humility, kindness and strength are greatly appreciated. There are no words to adequately thank you. As a gesture CUPE Local 786 will make sure that no dues are to be taken off your retention incentive.

We wanted to provide an update on the Temporary Retention Incentive for Nurses. Funding for the first payment was recently received from the Ministry and the first payment deposit date is scheduled for Monday, July 4, 2022. Payment will be made to all eligible full-time staff and part-time staff who have completed an attestation form with witness name and signature.

Part-time, casual and temporary/contract staff employed through St Joe’s must:

– Complete an attestation form [1] (available on MyStJoes under HR Forms [2]) to confirm total number of hours worked at SJHH and other employer(s) to a maximum of 187.5 hours for each period.

– Send completed attestation forms to: trinprogram@stjoes.ca by June 3, 2022.
