Since 1984, Canada has observed April 28 as the National Day of Mourning. Flags at all government buildings in the province will fly at half-mast in remembrance of those who died because of workplace injuries and illnesses.
April 28 is the National Day of Mourning for workers killed, injured or made ill because of hazards on the job. It is a day to pay tribute to our fallen friends and comrades, and to renew our commitment to advocacy and education. As always, we strive for workplaces that are safe, healthy and just, and in which no one has to sacrifice their wellbeing or life for their job.#DayOfMourning #April28 #UnionStrong
