CUPE school board workers plan to strike on Friday and to defy back to work legislation. They are planning a daytime rally in Toronto, at Queen’s Park on Friday November 4th at 2:30 PM.
We are encouraging our Toronto members to attend the rally in Toronto. For those of you who cannot attend the Toronto rally, OSBCU has asked that we assemble at a local PC MPP’s office. We are organizing three of these events on Friday November 4th :
Peterborough-Kawartha: Friday, November 4th at 2 pm
MPP Dave Smith’s constituency office – Unit 4, 1123 Water St. Peterborough
Hamilton: Friday, November 4th at 2:30 pm
MPP Hon. Neil Lumsden’s constituency office – Unit 102, 115 Hwy. 8 Hamilton
Ottawa: Friday, November 4th at 4 pm
MPP Hon. Merrilee Fullerton’s constituency office – Suite100, 240 Michael Cowpland Dr. Kanata
We are asking you to bring your executive and any members that you can to your regional MPP rallies on Friday. Everyone who attends the above rallies will receive an OCHU solidarity t-shirt.
Their success will have a big impact on our bargaining in 2023. We are asking that you try to join.
