Yesterday, CUPE 786 paused to recognize the National Day of Mourning — a time to honour and remember workers who have lost their lives, been injured, or made ill on the job.
Across our worksites, members proudly wore their pins as a symbol of remembrance and solidarity. Each pin represents a life, a family, and a story that must never be forgotten.
We extend our sincere thanks to our JHSC members who were on site, handing out ribbons and helping keep the spirit of this day alive. Your commitment to health and safety continues to make a difference.
Thank you as well to all members who wore their pins and shared photos in honour of our fallen and injured brothers and sisters. Your participation ensures their memory lives on and reinforces our shared responsibility to protect one another.
We remember. We honour. We commit to safer workplaces for all.
