From OCHU – Yesterday the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives released a report commissioned by the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions-CUPE on chronic underfunding of hospitals and on spending on private staffing agencies.

In particular, the $9.2 billion spent in 10 years on private staffing agencies is a striking finding. It would have financed a significant wage increase for all hospital staff.
